CREATIVITY & PERFORMANCE. We worked with Tammy and Christopher Kane over a number of seasons to turn their creative originality and brand DNA into forward looking sneaker designs.
When Christopher Kane decided to add a sneaker capsule to their collection they wanted to ensure that the sneakers had credibility as well as looks. We researched, sourced, designed and developed the collection for Christopher and Tammy, ensuring that the Christopher Kane handwriting as well as the performance features of a true sneaker came through in the collection.
We started with the signature Buckle sneaker taking the safety buckle, one of their most iconic brand codes and utilising it in a lightweight, forward looking sneaker design. We followed that up with variations on the franchise and the Looner sneaker shown on the catwalk for AU19.
The Results
The buckle sneakers are one of the brand’s best selling items to date.
